JOB TITLE: Associate Web Developer/Designer (Front-end developer/designer position)
ABOUT POP
POP Interactive is a small, fast-paced website design and development firm located in San Francisco. We have been developing websites for small and large companies in a variety of industries since 1995 and have created many award winning sites.
ABOUT THE POSITION
In this position you will work closely with the two co-founders of POP and collaborate with other members of our team to create websites for our clients. The ideal candidate for this position will possess: strong website production skills; a good eye for design; a strong technical aptitude; and, a desire to enhance their skills. In addition, they will be flexible, organized and customer service oriented.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Producing websites based on established design criteria
- Page layout and production (hand-coded HTML and CSS)
- Performing quality assurance testing and cross-browser testing/debugging
- Maintaining and enhancing existing websites
- Assisting in the design of websites (based on experience and skill level)
- Assisting in establishing design, usability, navigation and content requirements
- Working closely with clients and performing project coordination related tasks
- Providing customer and technical support to clients
- Based upon experience, additional responsibilities may include basic form related scripting
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Required:
- Minimum 1 - 3 years professional website front-end development experience required including:
- Proficient in HTML and CSS (minimum 1 year hand-coding experience)
- Knowledge of web standards and cross-browser issues
- Proficient working with Dreamweaver and Photoshop
- Knowledge of JQuery/JavaScript
- Minimum 1 - 2 years professional website design experience including:
- Creating designs
- Helping to define website design, usability, navigation and content requirements
- Familiarity with WordPress
- Experience working on multiple projects and meeting deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization skills
- BA, BS or equivalent degree
Desired:
- Experience setting up website hosting and email accounts a plus
- Knowledge of SEO a plus
- Familiarity with SVN, ASP.NET or PHP a plus

SALARY:
Salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include flextime and paid vacation/sick time and holidays.
